Agent of T.E.R.R.A. News

Like Randy Johnson, I've heard from the daughter of Jack Jardine ("Larry Maddock") about my posts on his Agent of T.E.R.R.A. series. I loved these books when I read them back in the Sixties and think it's pretty cool that the author's daughter got in touch with me. The most exciting thing, though, is learning that manuscripts exist of two unpublished books in the series. I can tell you, if any publishers are interested, I'd buy those books right now.

Kind of cool about the manuscripts. I wouldn't mind a bit more of T.E.R.R.A. myself.

I would like to see that remaining T.E.R.R.A. novels published as well but all things considered tjis might be something better done as print-on-demand since I doubt there are the 5-10 thousand Man from TERRA fans around needed to justify a commerical release.

I wonder who owns the rights to the concept? Was Jardine writing for hire or was this his concept from stat to finish? It was marketed as a sort of Man from UNCLE clone which is why I think jardine may have been doing works-for-hire. In which case reprinting these last two stories might be a problem. Then again, it's been what, 30-40 years, maybe any original contract has since become void.

I used to have volumes 1 & 3 of this series which I have enjoyed tremendously, so much so, that over the years, I have searched most of the 2nd-hand bookshops in New Zealand. Several others of my books having disappeared when I moved to my current residence about 20 years ago, and not being able to get them locally, I decided to try Amazon and have managed to obtain replacements from there. My most recent purchase was the Vols 2 & 4 of this series, which I am about to read and would very much like to know like everyone else, if there are any other volumes in the series.

A PS to my comment. Would it help if I added that I live in Wellington, New Zealand?

I just purchased 1-3 via Amazon for Kindle, and am praying that 'The Time Trap Gambit' is translated soon. Why not buy the manuscripts and offer it via Kindle? You'd definitely have an audience for it!!

Good news!: A coupl;e of months ago, I managed to get the missing volumes from my collection and now have Vols 1-4. I was wondering, though, if Mr Maddock has written any more to this series.

There are good print on demand services out there now. I would definitely love to read last two books!
